Take your favourite photo and turn it into a needlework chart which can be worked in either counted cross stitch or tapestry.
Send your clear photograph in the pre-addressed envelope and within 28 days (UK only) from receipt of your picture you will be sent a clear, easy to follow cross stitch chart along with your original photograph, plus easy to follow instructions.
Digital photos and photos on CD are also accepted.
Each photograph when converted will enable you to stitch a beautiful heirloom.
You can send in virtually any colour photograph up to A4 size.
Your personalised chart reproduces the photograph's colours stitch by stitch. 48 DMC colours are used to give perfect results - at the top of your chart you will find each symbol listed with the corresponding DMC colour number.
By using different stitch counts of fabric you can vary the size of your picture. For example, a cross stitch worked using the most popular 14 count aida would give a finished size of 8" x 10", with 16 or 18 count aida it would be slightly smaller. If worked as a tapestry on 11 count canvas the finished size would be slightly larger.
Don't forget that you can also convert antique photographs into black and white or sepia tone charts giving gorgeous results.
Stitch-a-Photo is not recommended for complete novices.
